FIRIS™
Fiber-Optic Ratiometric System – The FIRIS™ system is a self-referencing, multi-channel fiber optic sensor interrogation system that uses light emitting diodes (LEDs) or laser diodes in the visible (active wavelength) and NIR (reference wavelength), and high-sensitivity photomultiplier tube (PMT) photodetectors, to monitor the colorimetric or fluorescence status of a fiber-optic sensing element. FIRIS Operational Mode: optical sensing fibers using a frequency modulated, dual wavelength, intensity ratiometric detection mode.
