FAESense

FaeSense

The FAESense product line is suitable for the interrogation of a distributed array of 2 to 12 FBG sensors inscribed within a single optical fiber for the measurement of “passive” acoustic-emission (AE) events associated with impacts, cracks, fractures, delamination, corrosion, etc., that can result in potential structural catastrophic damage. The FAESense systems as are small, lightweight, and low-power systems with data acquisition sampling rates ranging from kilo-samples/sec to mega-samples/sec for each individual FBG sensor in the distributed fiber array. The FAESense systems are available as single-fiber or multi-fiber (2- to 32-fiber channels) data logger transceivers with USB, ethernet, or Wi-Fi data communications modality, to a remote PC software or with on-board data processing and storage.
