ROI’s Micro-Opto-Mechanical-Systems (MOMS) ACDC Pressure sensor technology conforms to a fully integrated, self-contained, novel optical interferometric pressure sensor designed suitable to measure a wide dynamic range of deep underwater pressures. The MOMS pressure sensor consists of two Extrinsic Fabry-Perot micromachined optical sensors, one measures large static (DC) pressures and another one measures very small dynamic (AC) pressures. An integrated built-in sensor interrogator electronics based on photonic integrated circuit (PIC) microchip technology measures the optical signals from the MOMS sensor and provides an analog voltage output proportional to the pressure measurand.
